Here's what people are saying...One of the most important parts of any church ministry is hearing about how the church is affecting the lives of its members. To help you to better understand our church we have listed a few testimonials from our members that share why they have chosen to connect with our ministry. We hope these brief statements are helpful to you. May our Lord lead and guide you as you seek Him.

"After being disappointed by churches more interested in attracting attendees than in preaching the truth, I found one that is bold and unapologetic about being true to The Word. It has been a breath of fresh air!"

"We love Oakhill because of the focus on discipleship, especially for our children. The church family really exemplifies the love of Christ. We enjoy the love and grace that is shown to our family without strings attached. Too often church relationships are based on programs and expectations and we feel like Oakhill has a foundation of love that makes you WANT to participate in the programming."

"In my life I wanted to know God. I went to church, got involved in teaching Sunday school; I even went on mission trips. When I read the Bible it left me with questions and I didn't know how to find the answers.
My husband was invited to a Bible study at Oakhill and came home so excited. Here is a preacher who knows the Bible! I went the next time and we soon began attending church regularly. There were so many opportunities to learn from God's Word; the church service, Sunday school, Thursday night Bible study and even CDs from past Bible study series that I could listen to at home! It was like a smorgasbord. And the people I met were so friendly. They, like me, were drinking in God's Word, finding their walk with God and finding grace. I noticed the church has a very large entryway. After the service people don't just go home. They stay and talk and catch up on life. My husband and I have grown and healed in this church. It has been a turning point in our lives. It's hard to describe what God is in my life now without sounding cliche, but He is my life. I read the Bible and I have been given the tools to understand, or at least I know yow to dig more for the answers. It is my joy to worship God with the people in this church and to support each other as we walk together with God through this life. What a joy!" |
