At Oakhill you will find that our worship services are designed to lead us into worship of the Lord in "spirit and truth" (John 4:23-24).  This tone for Biblical worship is set through powerful, expositional preaching of the Word of God.  Every sermon is set around a particular text that the Lord gives for that day.  This Biblical focus lays the foundation for our response in worship through all that we do be it giving, singing, prayer or confession.  

All the music at Oakhill is carefully and prayerfully chosen to support our Biblical focus. As a result, we are not consummed with having the latest musical styles and most popular worship trends. We try to stay away from the labels of "traditional" and "contemporary" because we are concerned that people can fall in love with our culture and/or a musical style instead of the Lord.  The music that is chosen for our services is a blend of old and new that is designed to be joyful, inspirational and intergenerational.

An important part of our worship services is a desire to involve as many people as possible in the worship experience.  On any given Sunday you will see a mixture of adults and children sharing their gifts in the leading of worship along with the pastor.  We believe public worship should involve the Body of Christ and not just paid professionals.  Worship in the end is a verb, something we do together on any Sunday and not something we watch others do for us.
