Overview

Oakhill Church strongly embraces the belief that all Christians are called to be disciples of the Word. Whether we are life-long believers or new to the faith, all Christians can grow in the depth and breadth of their knowledge the Bible. This growing understanding not only provides us with more spiritual fruit in our own lives, but also provides us with the seeds of faith that we need to share the Gospel with our families, friends, and in our community.

Regularly Scheduled Programs

Our church offers three adult education classes on Sunday morning during “Discipleship Hour” from 9:00 – 10:00. Topics vary each year, but emphasize improving our knowledge and understanding of the scripture, developing our Christian discernment, and showing us how to grow in our walk with the Lord. We also have four youth Sunday school classes offered during Discipleship Hour for young ones, elementary, junior, and senior high students. In addition, we have a very popular Thursday Night Bible Study and Wednesday morning Women's Bible Study.

We have a combined junior and senior high Youth Group program which meets on the second Sunday of the month from 12:30 – 2:00. The Youth Group also gathers once or twice a month for additional activities. This year’s Youth Group program emphasizes “Standing Firm with the Lord” through discipleship, discussions, fellowship, games, activities, and service projects.

Each year we host a Vacation Bible School program in the middle of summer for Kindergarten though 5th grade students.

Special Events

Oakhill Church also offers occasional special events study programs. During the past few years Oakhill has hosted two Walk Thru the Bible seminars, a presentation of archeological evidence of the Bible’s authenticity, a study series of the Jewish Festivals as they connect with Jesus and his ministry, and has participated in several trips to the Holy Land.
