DEACONS are charged with the duty of being the Church's instrument for compassion. Persons elected to this office should exhibit especially those spiritual qualities of the Christian and should be earnest and whole hearted followers of Christ.
- SHEPHERDING GROUPS: Each deacon connects regularly with the members in her group, typically through cards, phone calls and personal interaction at church. The Sunday luncheons after the service provide a setting for each deacon and their shepherding group to share a meaningful time together.
- Special Support: Thanks to the generous financial giving of the Oakhill family, the Deacons were able to share our Lord's resources in a number of ways: Benevolent assistance, funeral luncheons, flowers for bereavement or hospitalization, a card ministry, special events, Senior luncheon and other gifts .
- Other non-monetary support has come in the form of many behind-the-scenes volunteers, providing
